Talk Therapy

Evaluation and Management (E/M) combined Talk therapy involves the evaluation of a patient’s health status and the management of their care. When it comes to mental health, E/M services often go hand in hand with therapy. This approach combines the use of prescribed medications with therapeutic conversation techniques to help patients manage their symptoms and improve their overall mental wellbeing.

Medication Management

This involves a qualified healthcare professional, typically a psychiatrist, psychiatric nurse practitioners, or physician assistants, prescribing medications to help manage the symptoms of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or others. The professional will monitor the patient’s use of the medication to ensure its effectiveness and to make adjustments as necessary. The goal is to find the right medication and dosage that helps reduce symptoms, causes minimal side effects, and works best for the patient’s unique needs.

Combining Medication Management with Talk Therapy

When used in combination, medication can help manage the biological aspects of the mental health condition, while talk therapy in the form of therapeutic conversation, can help address the emotional and psychological aspects. This dual approach can be particularly effective, as it treats both the symptoms and the root causes of the mental condition.

Each patient is unique, and what works best will depend on their specific condition, its severity, their personal history, and their current situation. Regular consultations with the healthcare provider are crucial to monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to the treatment plan. This comprehensive approach aims to provide the patient with the best possible outcome and improve their overall quality of life.

Psychotherapy is a collaborative process, where you and your therapist work together to identify your goals and monitor your progress. It’s important to remember that everyone’s therapy journey is unique, and the pace of progress varies from person to person. While we do not have an in-house therapist to provide psychotherapy services at this time, we may send referrals to a therapist of your choice or within our referral list to create a treatment plan that best fits your needs.
